Great Conversation Starters

We have mastered the art of small talk at our house. Really, you should use some of our examples at your next dinner party or social event. I guarantee you will make an impression (although it may not be the impression you want to leave) and you will not be forgotten (again, in ways you might rather HAVE forgotten)...But it's always worth a try if you are stuck without anything to say!

Small talk with a 2 and 4 year old 101:

Arguments:

Dear Son: "Excuse me, I tooted!"
Lala: "I tooty!!!"
Dear Son: "NO! I tooted!"
Lala: "I tooty too!"
Dear Son: "No you didn't!! I DID!!"
Lala: "No I tooty!"
ME: "Stop arguing about who tooted!"

On strength:

Dear Son: "I'm really strong"
Me: "Mmmmhmmm?"
Dear Son: "Yeah, I'm stronger than an elephant!"

Important life changing questions:

Dear Son: "How does God make dirt?"
Me: "Ummm...let me think about that and tell you later"

Dear Son: "How do ant's move?"
Me: "Ummm...ask Daddy."

More to follow, I'm sure.

This is so funny and can be heard in so many homes. Isn't it amazing when you hear yourself saying things you NEVER thought you would ever say? I had to say the other day, "it's not nice to call her a boo-boo head."

This post made me laugh so hard I almost fell off my chair...literally! Sounds much too much like my house and my little people. How come it's WAY funnier when it's your kids and not mine?

Hope you're feeling good, my friend. You look lovely, even if I'm sure you don't think you do. I LOVE that pregnancy glow!!!

XOXOXOXO
